We are a candidate-controlled campaign committee, and we are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the information we collect.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact / get-involved form or sign up for updates, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, city or ZIP code, the interests you select (for example, volunteering, requesting a yard sign, or endorsing Jack), and any message you send.

Contributions. Donations are processed by our third-party payment provider, Anedot. We do not collect or store your full payment card number on this Site; Anedot handles payment processing under its own privacy and security practices. In connection with a contribution, information such as your name, mailing address, occupation, employer, and contribution amount is collected as required by California campaign-finance law (see Section 5).

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site and hosting provider automatically log certain technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and pages you view — using cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy in Section 3).

5. How we share information — and campaign-finance disclosure

Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us operate the campaign and the Site — such as our website host, email and form tools (Fluent Forms), and our donation processor (Anedot) — who are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.

Public campaign-finance disclosure. California’s Political Reform Act requires campaign committees to publicly report certain contributor information. For contributions that meet the reporting thresholds (generally $100 or more), we are legally required to disclose the contributor’s name, city/ZIP, occupation, employer, and contribution amount in public filings with the Fair Political Practices Commission and local election officials. This information becomes part of the public record. This is required by law and is separate from the privacy protections described elsewhere in this policy.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Committee or others.

6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

We value the privacy of California residents. As a political campaign committee, the Committee is generally not a “business” subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA. Even so, we voluntarily honor the following rights for California residents with respect to the personal information we hold:

• Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and with whom we share it.
• Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (including campaign-finance recordkeeping).
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
• Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — note that we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
• Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide what you requested.
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

10. Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Site links to third-party services, including our donation page (Anedot) and social media (Facebook, Instagram). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services; please review their privacy policies.
